2024 Soundbox Music Creators

Emily Scott-Moncrief

Emily is a singer, songwriter, double bassist and music educator based in Glasgow. She is front-woman of critically acclaimed chamber-pop band Modern Studies and has most recently completed a solo album for piano and string orchestra, as Chrysanths. She is beyond excited to work with the SCO to explore further the orchestral palette, and find a place where her pop influences and classical sensibilities can meet in a playful and creative way.

Daniel Abrahams

After working part-time in renewable energy engineering, last year Daniel finally took the plunge to become a composer and musician full time. His focus has been on original compositions with folk bands Dowally and Wayward Jane, as well as soulful pop songs for The Foo Birds. He is passionate about liveable cities and have recently composed new music on that theme.

naafi

naafi is an Electronic Musician, DJ and Songwriter, whose work spans across experimental, left-field dance and pop genres. They host a radio show on EHFM called Affix comparing classical and electronic music composition. They are excited to play with the Chamber format, and through this explore new contexts for listening.
