Let’s Sing!
- Before singing, we need to warm up. Start with some actions: stretch your arms up, roll your shoulders, jump on the spot. Can you move like some different animals?
- Next, find a partner (or the rest of a class) to try some simple ‘call and response’. You call “ch ch ch” and your partner (or the rest of the class) mimic that. Once you’ve got the idea, try some different sounds, then ask if anyone else wants be the leader. See if you can be inspired by sounds you might hear in the picture above.
- Now you're ready to sing, try learning the songs with Chris Jarvis:
Keeping Singing!
Once you’ve got to grips with the songs, think about all the different ways you can sing them:
Fast or slow
Spiky or smooth
Like a happy polar bear
Like a sad snake
Grumpy
Excited
