Have we got an embarrassment of riches for you! New Dimensions

Think again about classical concerts

Our informal, new music strand - complete with DJs playing in the foyer - returns with Edinburgh-born percussionist Colin Currie directing Steve Reich, Andrew Manze conducting Gnarly Buttons and other works by John Adams, and the inspirational Jess Gillam joins the Orchestra for Saxophone Dreams.

Choral Highlights

Be moved and inspired by the power of the human voice

The SCO Chorus has another Season of fine concerts in store, from sacred music by Vivaldi and Poulenc in Gloria! to the world premiere of SCO Associate Composer Jay Capperauld's The Language of Eden.

Matinee Concerts

Who said concerts had to be evening affairs?

During the winter months, take your pick from afternoon performances of concertos by Schumann & Mozart with Anthony Marwood, a Mozart Matinee with former SCO Principal Bassoon Peter Whelan and Haydn & Schubert from Lorenza Borrani.

Festive Treats

Immerse yourself in the seasonal spirit

Whether your preference is for sacred or secular, we've got you covered: take your pick from the tenderness L'Enfance du Christ, the magic of The Nutcracker or a traditional Viennese New Year - not forgetting the quiet spirituality of the SCO Chorus' annual Christmas concert, A Ceremony of Carols.

Family Fun

A magical storytelling show specially created for younger listeners

The enchanting tale of The Great Grumpy Gaboon - in which we see a group of friends come together to help cheer up one of their number - returns to bring joy to young audiences in Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Chamber music

Get intimate with the SCO's exceptional musicians

Join the SCO Wind Soloists in their annual Side by Side concert with students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, or SCO Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev in a Chamber Matinee around the music of Schumann.
