We are delighted to announce that SCO Chief Executive, Gavin Reid, has been appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order in His Majesty The King’s New Year Honours List, in recognition of his position as Music Advisor to the Honours of Scotland Service held in St Giles’ Cathedral on 5 July 2023.

Gavin, and the SCO Team, were incredibly proud to play such a significant role in this historic event, with several SCO musicians performing in The Honours of Scotland Ensemble which was made up of musicians from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Scottish Ballet Orchestra, all of which His Majesty was Patron of as The Duke of Rothesay.
