News Story
We are delighted to announce full details of the 2024 Summer Tour, which marks the 45th anniversary of the Orchestra's annual Scottish touring programme.
This year will see the Orchestra - and, for the first time, the SCO Chorus - performing in 25 locations across the length and breadth of Scotland, from 8 June to 14 September. With Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev among the names joining the Orchestra, new ventures including our gig-format UN:TITLED shows and dementia-friendly concerts, and an impressively wide range of repertoire, the 2024 Summer Tour promises to be is bigger than ever.
We hope you can join us!

Summer Serenade
In the meantime, the SCO Wind Soloists will be in Dunoon (26 June), Killin (27 June) and Dollar (28 June). The music they play goes further afield, taking in Paris, ancient Persia and an American gem of wind music repertoire.
Summer Classics
Maxim stays with the Orchestra for a programme of much-loved classics, to be performed in Helensburgh (3 July), Blair Atholl (4 July), Kinlochleven (5 July) and Callander (6 July). Beethoven's Seventh is still on the programme, this time preceded by Elgar and Schumann's tender Cello Concerto, with SCO Principal Cello Philip Higham as soloist.
