Jess has always had an interest in the performing arts and learned to play the flute from a young age. When she finished school, she decided to take her artistic interests in another direction and completed her BA (Hons) Professional Dance Practice at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance.

Since graduating, Jess completed a 16 month Learning and Engagement traineeship with the Edinburgh International Festival, and now continues to work with the organisation as the Audiences Assistant, where she gets to experience world-class performance every year, and is contstantly learning more about the ever-evolving arts world. Jess is hoping to use her time with the Youth Assembly to help shape the way arts organisations engage with future audiences, and to create further opportunities for people to experience the arts.
